Festival Opera has been bringing quality opera performances to East Bay audiences for more than twenty years. But we couldn't do it alone.

In fact, we couldn't do it at all without the help of a key group of generous part-time volunteers. More than just "givers of time," they are also Ambassadors for Festival Opera and for the fine arts, and a critical factor in the company's success.

Exciting Opportunities
Ambassadors get right up close to the action. When you contribute your skills and experience to Festival Opera, you have the satisfaction of knowing that your efforts help make a difference. You gain insight into the world of the arts, at the same time meeting exciting new people and developing new skills.

Sometimes you might meet our patrons fellow arts lovers and other times you might work directly with members of the creative team, artists or administration.

Are YOU Having Fun Yet?
Volunteer opportunities abound at Festival Opera. Let us share with you and find a match with your skills. Ambassadors can be found assisting at special events, coordinating hospitality to our artists, working with our technical and creative teams backstage, helping to raise funds to support our programming, writing newsletters or blogs, and much more.

Your commitment not only enhances the operagoing experience for our patrons, but also provides you with a positive, enriching environment, as well as benefits, discounts and our gratitude. An exciting opportunity for you is also an invaluable contribution to us.

Jump Right In
We have specific events that could benefit from your expertise and ideas — positions that are open right now. You may enjoy volunteering for something as simple as offering a ride to a visiting artist or an activity where you lead or become part of a team to produce a fundraising event or opera preview, or perhaps you see yourself as one of the marketing team. Are you a computer geek or fairly adept? Like to cook? Take photos? Are you a design or style guru? There are as many opportunities as there are volunteers. Talk to us...
